dBCD2 SEKIGUCHI SHINSHIN RYU $79.95 This is the main line of the art founded by Sekiguchi Yarokuemon Ujimune in roughly 1640. The shinshin in the name refers to the idea of approaching everything with a new (shin) mind (shin). This main line preserves jujutsu portion of the curriculum, as well as the kenjutsu and iai portions. Of special interest is the method of generating power with a sword. Rather than generating the power with the left hand as is common in most Japanese sword styles, Sekiguchi Shinshin Ryu generates its power with the right hand, and uses the left hand to help stup the sword.
