The one shown has a 2.5 shaku blade, black cotton tsukamaki, a simple, elegant iron tsuba, and a nami (wave) pattern hamon, and strong hi (groove) to lower the weight and give a good sound during practice. Made by Japanese trained smiths in China, these swords have excellent balance. Swords are available in 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5 and 2.6 shaku lengths. Please specify blade length when ordering. For blade lengths over 2.6 shaku, there is a additional charge for the exceptional length. Standard tsuka length is 8.5 sun. Tsuka also available in 8 sun and 9 sun lengths. Because swords are individually made, shipping for swords not in stock may take up to 12 weeks.
