This is the basic model. The one shown has a 2.5 shaku blade, black cotton tsukamaki, a simple, elegant iron tsuba, and a nami (wave) pattern hamon. To give this blade the maximum strength for cutting practice, there is no groove. Made by Japanese trained smiths in China, these swords have excellent balance. Swords are available in 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5 and 2.6 shaku lengths. Please specify blade length when ordering. For blade lengths over 2.6 shaku, there is a $200 charge for the exceptional length. Standard tsuka length is 8.5 sun. Tsuka also available in 8 sun and 9 sun lengths. Shipping may take up to 12 weeks.
